Injury Attorneys to take on Entertainment Giant, Universal

Personal injury attorneys Boone and Davis from Fort Lauderdale are set to take on Universal City Development Partners, who run Universal Orlando resort on behalf of a client of theirs who was seriously injured.

The suit was filed on July 15th, 2009 after the client slipped and fell on a spilled liquid at the Amphitheatre at the Animal Actors Show. The client suffered multiple injuries as a result of the fall and needed surgery and the insertion of metal hardware in order to overcome the injuries.

90% of Doctors Blame Fear of lawsuits for overtesting

In a survey published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, it was discovered that 90% of doctors over-test or over-treat patients due to the fear of being sued for medical malpractice for not doing enough for their patients.

This survey's results echo a story in "the Associated press" which said that the fear of personal injury or other lawsuits is what causes doctors to over-treat patients.

Ford to pay compensation to woman in Personal Injury case

Ford Motor Company has been sued successfully in a personal injury case by a woman in California who, after being involved in a car accident while driving her Ford Explorer, was rendered quadriplegic .

Ms. Cynthia Castillo was driving down a freeway when the left rear tire of her Ford Explorer de-treaded causing her to lose control of the vehicle which then veered off the road and rolling down an embankment 3 times. The accident left Ms. Castillo's legs paralyzed as well as much of the rest of her body.

Mason & Mason legal firm are the latest personal injury firm to file a lawsuit against Apple in relation to its newly launched iPhone 4.

Mason & Mason say they want to "punish" Apple for forcing a faulty device onto paying customers.

this latest lawsuit is in response to Apple's open letter regarding the problems that have been noticed with the new iPhone, most notably with the signal and design.

Judge Halts 6 Personal Injury Lawsuits Against GM

A bankruptcy court judge has stopped the personal injury lawsuits of 6 plaintiffs against GM, in an order filed yesterday.

The personal injury lawsuits were filed against the old GM , now officially known as Motors Liquidation Co.

However, according to the terms of the sale of the old GM, when the core of old GM was sold to new GM, personal-injury plaintiffs were prevented by the terms of sale from suing the buyer on account of autos sold before bankruptcy.

Phillies Phanatic facing Personal Injury Lawsuit

The Philadelphia Philies famous mascot, the' Phillie Phanatic', has no reason to be cheering and jumping around today as he is faced with a personal injury lawsuit from a 75 year old woman.

The incident occurred at a minor league game in 2008 and Ms. Crass is now looking for over $50,000 in injury compensation.

Personal Injury Accident Leads to Marijuana Find

Police investigating a minor personal injury accident made an extra discovery when checking out the accident; marijuana filled cookies.

State Troopers in New Lebanon went to check on 73 year old Ronald Bixby after he had been involved in a minor auto accident and, upon investigating the car, found a box of oatmeal cookies filled with marijuana. Further searching of the car led to the discovery of 15 more grams of marijuana.

Mr.Bixby was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and is expected to appear in New Lebanon Town Court on July 1.

The number of personal injury claims made in the UK has drastically increased, according to a Law Gazette report. The number of personal injury claims made in the UK rose by 31.8%, from 914 in 2006 to 1,205 in 2008. This is a surprising statistic as the Compensation Act of 2006 was introduced to try and reduce the number of personal injury claims made as it imposed registration requirements on claims management companies and created the Ministry of Justice's claims management regulator.
