Janice Boswick and her husband Robert of San Luis Obispo County, California have filed a personal injury case against the City of San Clemente after suffering an injury while walking along a walkway near San Clemente's Linda Lane parking area and beach access tunnel.

The Boswicks will be represented by Californian personal injury attorneys Bisnar/Chase.

The injury occurred on July 26th, 2009 while Ms. Boswick was walking from the beach to the Linda Lane parking Area in San Clemente. The walkway was covered in eight to ten inches of seaweed and other debris. The walkway gave way under Ms.Boswick and her foot became trapped, resulting in broken bones in her leg. Her personal injury attorney also claims she suffered mental and physical pain.

Her personal injury attorney says that the city knew that the walkway was prone to a build up of debris and that there failure to act on this and clean the walkway was a direct contributing factor to Ms. Boswick's injury.

The Boswicks are looking for compensation for the injury Ms. Boswick suffered and past and future physical and mental pain and suffering, as well as past and future economic losses. They are also looking for compensation for Mr.Boswick's severe emotional distress after seeing his wife's injury.
