Kellog's Co. Of Battlecreek, Michigan have recalled 28 million boxes of Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops, and Honey Smacks cereal due to concern's regarding a concern with one of the substances that gives their cereals the off-colors and flavors found in their cereals.

Kellogs have not released the name of the substance but say it is present only in very small amounts and that they have only recalled the boxes due to the discovery that certain consumers are very sensitive to the mystery substance. Kellog's says the substance is found in the waxy resins used to make packaging materials approved by the FDA

Those consumers sensitive to the substance have reported they have suffered nausea and diarrhea within 15 minutes of eating the cereals. Many consumers have written to IB News saying they have experienced gastrointestinal distress, which has led to them missing work.

It is a very good move for Kellogs to act quickly in recalling the packages in order to protect themselves from potential personal injury lawsuits.
