Drinking and Driving: Orange County Bicycle Accident

We all have heard that drinking and driving kills... yet, many people
just lack integrity when it comes to sitting behind the steering wheel.
In Orange County recently a car accident occurred and immediately after one of the cars lost control and hit a bike rider along the bike path...

Can you imagine the recklessness needed to get into a bike and car accident within a five minute span. Apparently the two vehicles were racing on the road...

Here is an excerpt from the report:

A Honda Accord, driven by 57-year-old Glenn M. Moore, which had just hit a BMW sedan veered out of control and went down an embankment and onto a bike trail. The Honda then hit Lauwers, who was riding his bike along the trail. Police suspect Moore may have been under the influence of alcohol. Witnesses have stated that the Accord was racing the BMW before the injury accident. The BMW driver, Michael D. Roach, 36, was also seriously injured in the accident.
