Personal injury attorneys Boone and Davis from Fort Lauderdale are set to take on Universal City Development Partners, who run Universal Orlando resort on behalf of a client of theirs who was seriously injured.
The suit was filed on July 15th, 2009 after the client slipped and fell on a spilled liquid at the Amphitheatre at the Animal Actors Show. The client suffered multiple injuries as a result of the fall and needed surgery and the insertion of metal hardware in order to overcome the injuries.
Attorney Micheal Davis had the following to say about the case “Our client’s injuries and the resulting scarring and need for surgery were a direct result of her fall after slipping on liquid at the Universal Orlando Resort’s Animal Actors Show, but Universal is denying any responsibility. As a result, we’ve filed a case before Judge Strickland at the Circuit Court in Orange County in order to get our client the monetary help she deserves in order to move past this unfortunate situation and continue to heal properly.”
The number of accidents occurring at theme parks has steadily increased in the last 5 years and one of the main reasons for this is the cutbacks in the parks' budgets. Other reasons listed for the increase in slip and fall accidents at theme parks and other personal injury accidents at the parks are overcrowding and the introduction of faster, more dangerous attractions.
